School Christmas Parties

The boys had their school Christmas parties on December 19th.  Jason and I had fun moving back and forth between the two parties watching crafts and games.  Colby's class even had a book exchange, which Colby is very happy about!  These boys have great teachers, friends, and parents in their classes. We are truly blessed with an awesome school!  This was the perfect way to kick off the long Christmas break...bring on family time fun!

Brunch with Santa at Bluegrass

One of our favorite Christmas traditions, Brunch with Santa at Bluegrass, was on Sunday, December 14th.  The boys enjoyed making a few crafts, decorating a Christmas cookie, and visiting with Santa.

Before heading out to Brunch, we took our annual pictures in front of our tree.  This takes a little time and causes some frustrations, but I am so glad we continue to make the effort.  I will always cherish these pictures!

Marvel Universe Live

We surprised the boys with tickets to the Marvel Universe Live show at Bridgestone Arena.  Our neighbor and good friend got us some great seats in a suite.  This show was amazing, and both boys loved it!  Colby was definitely in his element being surrounded by all of his favorite super heroes.

Christmas Trains with Dad

On Saturday, December 13th, Jason and the boys headed to Lowe's with some other dads from church for the Build and Grow Clinic.  They made awesome Christmas trains, but more importantly, they had a lot of fun with daddy!

Colby's Kindergarten class had Donuts with Dad on Friday, December 5th.  I am so thankful that Jason was able to go enjoy donuts with this sweet boy!

Christmas Caroling

After the Christmas parade on December 5th, the kids were able to do some Christmas caroling with our church.  The kids sang for the Sunday evening service, Christian Manors 1 and 2, and then finished up with a concert for the Room in the Inn guests.  I love that our church does this each year, and I love that our boys look forward to participating.  I pray that all of these sweet voices were able to spread some Christmas cheer and Christian love.

Hendersonville Christmas Parade 2014

The Hendersonville Christmas Parade was on Sunday, December 5th, and we had a great time watching it with the Moore family again this year.  The parade is always a fun way to kick off our Christmas season!

Thanksgiving Holidays

Our first Thanksgiving meal was the Saturday before Thanksgiving at Nenny and Pa's house.  We look forward to this get together every year, because we are able to spend time with extended family that we don't get to see very often.

The boys were out of school the Wednesday before Thanksgiving again this year, so we met my mom, Jeanine, Harper, and Darbye at Opry Mills to take pictures with Santa.  I love this new tradition!

This was our year to spend Thanksgiving day with my family.  Aunt Pat hosted, and she and my mom made a delicious lunch.  I know Granny Shug was watching from heaven and smiling.

After leaving Aunt Pat and Uncle Lee's house, we headed to Pa's brother's house.  I met some of Jason's family that I have never met before and he hadn't seen in several years.  It was great to spend time with Pa's brother and sister and their families.

We had a great Thanksgiving!  We are very thankful to God for all of his many blessings, especially the blessing of family!
