Christmas with Poppy

After a quick nap at home, we headed to Jeremy and Tammy's house for our final Christmas celebration.  This one was with Poppy.  We ate a delicious dinner prepared by Tammy and Jeremy and then the kids opened their presents from Poppy.

Every year, I think about how blessed we truly are to have so many family members to celebrate Christmas with.  Our boys get several different family celebrations, Christmas meals, and presents to open.  I pray that they will always appreciate how blessed we are!

Christmas Day

After opening all of the presents from Santa, we went over to Gacky and Poogie's house to have Christmas with them, Jeanine, Harper, and Darbye.  Brody and Harper both got ipads and Darbye got an ipod from Santa, and this is how the three of them stayed for a while.  Jeanine and I joked that this is way different from Christmas when we were kids!

Brody did a great job as "Santa" this year passing out all the gifts to everyone.

This shirt was from Gacky, and it is perfect for our little C!!

My mom always gets the boys new pajamas, and every year, they want to put them on immediately.  This year, Colby took it a step farther and put on every piece of clothing that he got from my mom and dad.  He looked like the boy on A Christmas Story..."I can't put my arms down!!"  This child is a mess!!

After the presents were opened, we checked out Gacky's 3D TV.  The boys are so impressed!!

Christmas Morning

I guess Santa thought the boys were very good this year, because he brought them lots of awesome presents!!

These smiles get me every single time!  They were so excited to see what was under the tree for them!

Brody made a special present for Jason and I at school before the break.  If I haven't mentioned it before, Mrs. Cook is awesome!!!  When he brought it home, he carried it so carefully.  He put it under the tree and made me promise that I wouldn't open it until Christmas morning.  He was so excited to give it to us, and I was so excited to open it. I love that in the midst of all of his many new things, he wanted to stop and give us this gift to open.   Love this sweet boy!!!  I also love our new handmade ornament!!

And, these were the very sad looks we got from the boys when they realized that Truz would not be back until next year.  They have grown very attached to our Elf and will miss looking for him each morning.  Hurry back Truz!

Christmas Eve

We had Christmas Eve Dinner at our house again this year with Nenny and Pa, Nana, Jeremy and Tammy, and Emilee and Kylee. Jason made us pose for a picture before we ate, and I'm so glad he did!  It's great to have a good family picture with all of us in it!

After dinner, we went to the boys playroom and opened presents.  The boys got some great things from their grandparents and cousins, and they were super excited about all of them!!

When everyone left, the boys got everything ready for Santa's arrival.  Brody decided to leave cookies and milk for Santa and taffy for Truz, our Elf on the Shelf.  Mrs. Cook made Reindeer Food with Brody's class at school before the break, and we had a lot of fun sprinkling it on our front yard.  Then, to end our night, Jason read "The Night Before Christmas," as he does every year.  These are some of my favorite Christmas traditions!
