Gatlinburg Soccer Tournament

We kicked off Brody's Spring Soccer Season with a tournament in Gatlinburg.  The views are amazing on these fields, and the weather turned out great!  The boys played really well too, especially considering they have only had a couple practices with their new coach.   We are very excited to watch these boys continue to grow and improve throughout this season!

12th Annual Blood Drive and Bake Sale

Our 12th Annual Blood Drive and Bake Sale was busy, fun, and very productive!  The Red Cross successfully collected 89 units of blood, so Colby officially hit his goal of 80!  The Bake Sale, under the direction of Brody, raised $1,567!  This total, along with online donations, brings our final total to $5,000 raised for CHD Research!!!!!  This is double what Colby was hoping for!!

Thank you to everyone who supported this event!  12 years later, and we are still amazed at the love and generosity Colby and our family are shown each year.  Thank you all!!

Stem Fair

For this year's Stem Fair, Brody and Seth worked together on ways to decrease lactic acid in athletes. I am so proud of both of them!  They 100% completed this project from start to finish with zero input from their parents.  I'm also amazed by them.  They completed two runs for this project...the first as a baseline and the second with a supplement they found that is supposed to decrease lactic acid.  Each time, Brody ran 7 miles straight at a really good pace.  I am equally impressed and confused as to how he was able to run 7 miles with zero training.  I guess all of his soccer playing has given him some good endurance.

Burnin' for Bucks

Wow!  That's pretty much all I can say about our 3rd Annual Burnin' for Bucks event at Burn Boot Camp Hendersonville.  This event makes my heart so happy!!  It gets bigger and better every year, and this year we raised $3,810 for CHD Research.  $225 of that was through trainer burpees, and I am honestly thankful for every single burpee I had to do!

I am so incredibly thankful for Burn Hendersonville, our amazing community that rallies around this event, the competitors that gave it their all in the workouts, the people who came out to cheer on and encourage their friends, the volunteers who helped judge so many heats, our amazing BA and training team, our owners Lori and Rusty, and especially Jeremiah.  He continues to amaze me with his ability to plan and execute perfect workouts for these competitors.  I'm already looking forward to next years event!

Merrol Hyde Indoor Tournament Fun Teams

The boys always look forward to the school fun teams division of the Merrol Hyde Indoor Tournament!  This year, we had the 5th grade "Jersey Jockers," and the 7th grade "Rainbow Unicorns."  Watching a group of 7th grade boys play soccer in full unicorn costumes was entertaining to say the least!

Happy Birthday Jason!

With the craziness that is our February, we were a little late celebrating Jason's birthday, but we made it happen!  We couldn't let his special day go by without a special celebration.  He is the best husband and best daddy around, and we are so very thankful to call him ours!  Happy Birthday Jason!!  We love you BIG!

Colby's Basketball Team

Another fun season of basketball has come to an end for Colby and these awesome boys!  We have loved watching this team grow and develop over the last few years.

Indoor Soccer Tournaments

The boys didn't get to play in many indoor tournaments this winter, but the ones they did play in, they did well!!  Indoor tournaments are always a fun time!
