Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico did not disappoint!  We had so much fun exploring this beautiful place!!  Thankful for the time together as a family before the craziness of school schedules kick in.

Dinner in Old San Juan...

Spent the day exploring the history in Old San Juan...

Thursday's adventures were amazing!  It all started in the Rainforest with the Yokahu Tower, a beautiful waterfall, and learning why the rainforest is sometimes called the White Lands (the huge leaves on the trees that are white underneath...when the winds blow, the leaves all turn over and the rainforest looks white).  Our guide also showed us how you can wear the leaves as hats! Ha!

We then took a hike through the rainforest that ended with a swim in a beautiful spot!

We ended Thursdays adventures with lunch in San Juan, feeding the pigeons in Pigeon Park, and seeing Umbrella Street on the way to have a drink with our amazing tour guide!  He taught us so much history about San Juan as we walked around.

On Friday, we took a boat over to Culebra Island for snorkeling and to visit Flamenco Beach, which at one time was ranked in the top 5 most beautiful beaches in the world.  It was absolutely amazing!  Unfortunately, Colby wasn't feeling great on this day, but he hung in there and still managed to have a good time.

Jason and I were able to sneak in a couple of runs together while we were there, which makes my heart so happy.

Our final morning at the hotel before heading home...
