Disney World Day 3...Animal Kingdom

We started Day 3 with a character breakfast at the Tusker House Restaurant in Animal Kingdom.  Brody and Colby loved getting to see Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Mickey while we ate our breakfast.  This was probably Brody's favorite meal while we were at Disney, because they had a "jungle juice" that he thought was delicious.  He drank 3 full glasses during breakfast, and then convinced our waitress to give him a cup to go!

After breakfast, we went straight to the Kilimanjaro Safari Expedition.  Since Jason got us fast passes before breakfast, we didn't have to wait at all!  We really enjoyed this attraction!  Seeing all of these exotic animals of Africa up close just roaming in the savanna was very cool!

We continued our tour of the African animals by walking the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail.  Again, it was very cool to see all of these animals up close, especially the gorillas!  Near the end of the trail, the boys had a chance to look at footprints and poop (yes, this got some laughs from the boys) with one of the park employees to guess an animal. They really liked doing this, and they did a great job answering his questions.

Brody and Colby recently watched Lion King and absolutely love it, so the Festival of the Lion King show was a big hit!  I think this is the first musical type show that they have seen, and it was a very good one!!  When the performers asked for volunteers, Colby immediately raised his hand. He went up in front of around 300 people and said his name in the microphone, roared like a lion, and then paraded around the arena with some of the characters.  Jason, Brody, and I were amazed at how he wasn't scared at all!  It was a lot of fun watching him out there having fun!

Our last stop before heading back to our room for a nap (everyone was exhausted) was the "It's tough to be a bug" 3D movie in the Tree of Life.  This one was really cute, especially with all of the special effects.  The boys talked about this one a lot!

After our naps, we went back to Animal Kingdom for dinner at Rainforest Cafe.  This Rainforest is much bigger and better than ours here at home!
