MHMS Hawk Walk and Run

On Saturday, April 11, Merrol Hyde held the Hawk Walk and Run.  Brody and I ran the 5k, and all of us ran the 1 mile fun run.  It was a beautiful morning, and it was so great to have an opportunity to run together as a family.  Being surrounded by so many school friends was an added bonus.

Brody surprised us all by running the entire 3.1 miles and finishing with an impressive time of 27:20. This earned him 3rd place in the 10 and under division.  He ran his 1 mile run in 6:51, which earned him 10th place overall.

Colby did awesome as well!!  He ran the entire mile without stopping or walking, finishing in 10:49.  This placed him 47th out of 82 people!  His spirit and drive more than compensate for any physical limitations he may have.  We are super proud of both of our boys!!
