First Grade Author's Party

On Monday, May 19, we attended Mrs. Pinson's Author's Party.  Every student in her class presented a book that they had written, illustrated, and published themselves over the last 4 months.  These kids have worked so hard on these books in Writing Workshop, and it definitely showed.  Each book was unique, creative, and fun to hear.  One of Mrs. Pinson's former parents, who is also an artist, designed the front covers of all the books, and she did an amazing job.

Brody's book was titled Jack and Annie's New Adventure to Candy Land.  Writing and illustrating a book is a huge challenge, and we are so proud of the effort that he put into his book.  His hard work definitely paid off!
