Happy Father's Day
We spent our Father's Day celebrating Jason, who is the best daddy that I could have ever imagined for our boys! He is a great role model, a great provider, and a great leader for our family. I am so thankful to God for joining Jason and I and for blessing us with these two amazing boys. Happy Father's Day Jason! We love you very much!!
Game Ball!
Brody's second baseball game was Saturday, June 15th, and he received the Game Ball for making 2 really great hits into the outfield! He is new to baseball, but he is picking it up pretty quickly and doing great!
Sumner County Invitational Swim Meet
Friday, June 14th was the Sumner County Invitational Swim Meet. There were 5 teams from the Sumner County Area competing, which made it a very chaotic and long swim meet. Colby wasn't quite ready to swim, but Brody had some great times. He finished his freestyle and backstroke faster than last year, and he has set goals for himself to improve them even more throughout the summer. I love that he is setting goals and working so hard! It is going to be a lot of fun watching these two boys improve with each meet.
3v3 Kick It Soccer Tournament
The Mud Bombers second tournament of the summer was on Saturday, June 8th. They played 5 great games throughout the day and were named the Kick It U6 Champions!!!! We are so proud of these boys and how hard they played. These tournaments make for very long days but also very fun days!
Vacation Bible School
VBS at our church was June 2-5 this year. The theme was God's Backyard Bible Camp and the focus was on serving others. The boys had a lot of fun with all of the games and activities that were planned around this theme. They did not want VBS to end! I love seeing them so excited about going to church and being a part of this big event. They are already asking when next year's VBS will be!
Beech Bend Park
My sister, mom, and I took the kids for a fun day at Beech Bend Park on Wednesday, June 5th. This is our first time going to Beech Bend, and the boys had a blast! Colby was able to ride almost all of the rides that Brody, Harper, and Darbye rode, which is unusual with him being so short. After a full day of walking and riding in the heat, we were all exhausted! It was worth it, though, seeing the 4 of them have so much fun together. This is definitely something that we want to do again!
3v3 Live Soccer Tournament
Brody was asked to play on another 3v3 soccer tournament team for the summer, and he was more than happy to say yes!! The "Mud Bombers" played in their first tournament as a team on June 1st. After figuring out the different rules in 3v3 and how to work together, the team played great. They played 6 tough games against U6 and U7 teams and played the last game of the day in a downpour, but they came out on top and were named the U6 Champions!!
Brody's first triathlon of 2013
On Saturday, May 25th, Brody completed his first triathlon of the 2013 season. This race was different than any he has done before. It was an off road bike and run course, and instead of a pool swim, the kids did a slip-n-slide across the finish line. It looked tough riding in the grass, but Brody did awesome and had a lot of fun!
