Hitchcock Detailing

Over the summer, Brody decided to start a car detailing business to earn money.  He started out by investing in some quality products (using money he had earned by reffing last spring) and practicing on his Jeep and our cars, and then before we knew it, he had booked his first customer.  From there, he developed a website for customers to book online, and his business took off!  He was detailing 3-4 cars most weeks.  We are so proud of his initiative, his work ethic, his attention to detail, and his desire to go above and beyond for every single customer he serves. I can't wait to see where he takes this business in the future.  He has big plans, and I know he will find a way to make it all happen.

Brody's Wisdom Teeth

On July 20, Brody had his wisdom teeth removed.  Unfortunately, he had to have all 4 removed, and they were all impacted.  On top of that, his 12 year molars had not come in yet due to being blocked by the wisdom teeth, so the surgeon also had to cut the gums right above the two bottom molars and place brackets on those teeth.  Needless to say, Brody was hurting for a few days.  He handled it all so well, though, and Messi and Colby were a good support system for him while he was feeling down. We are all thankful to have this surgery behind us now...just in time for soccer and school to start back!

New York Anniversary

For our 20th Anniversary, Jason surprised me with a trip to New York!  This was my first time going to New York, and it was a dream!!  I am so thankful for this time together!

Highlights of Day 1...exploring around our hotel and seeing it all for the first time, lunch at Juniors, my first Broadway show- POTUS, and a yummy Cuban dinner.

Day 2 Highlights...Exploring the city and shopping, NY bagel breakfast sandwiches, delicious Mexican dinner, my 2nd Broadway show - Plaza Suite (with Sarah Jessica Parker), and dessert at Juniors (our first of many sweet treats on this trip!).

Day 3 Highlights...more exploring the city, lunch at Italy, my first Subway ride, and an Italian dinner at Rubirosa.

Day 4 Highlights...911 Memorial, Brooklyn Bridge, China Town, afternoon fruit tart snack, and 99 cent pizza (something the boys said I had to try).

We wrapped up Friday night with a sunset cruise to see the city by water and then another amazing dessert at a cute little diner in Hell's Kitchen.

Day 5 Highlights...Brunch at Tavern on the Green, bike ride and walk around Central Park (I'm shocked at how big and hilly Central Park is), a snack and Frozen Hot Chocolate from Serendipity before heading to the airport.

This trip was an absolute dream!  I am so thankful for this man and the time that we had alone to relax, reflect on 20 years of marriage, and enjoy each other!
