Middle School Soccer Begins

Brody is so excited to be playing soccer for his Middle School Team now!  These boys took the field for the first time, and they came away with a 3-1 win.  It's going to be a fun season watching this team!  Go Hawks!!!

First Spring Tournament for Brody

Brody's team played in their first tournament of the Spring Season on March 9-10, and we were so excited to be playing in Gatlinburg!!  These fields, and the views surrounding them, are just as beautiful as we've always heard!!! The team didn't come out on top of this one, but I think they played well together and definitely got back into the swing of outdoor soccer again.  We are looking forward to a great season!!

Brody's first Stem Fair Project

Brody's first Stem Fair project experience was a great one!  He teamed up with a few friends, who all love soccer, and they attempted to create a safer soccer ball.  I loved seeing the ideas they came up with and all the hard work they put into it.  We are super proud of all 5 of these boys!  

Messi's Mohawk is Back

The boys missed Messi's mohawk from last summer, so, mohawk it is!

Colby's Basketball Team

Colby's Basketball Team ended their season with a heart breaking loss in the Championship Game.  These boys had a great season, though, and I love seeing them grow and develop as a team a little more each year.  We can't wait to see how they do next year!  

Book Character Dress Up Day

The Elementary had their annual Book Character Dress Up day to celebrate Dr. Seuss, and these two cuties dressed as Slinky Dog. I am thankful for Kendra's creativity with this one!  It earned these boys first place!

Brody the Referee

After a two day course and a test, Brody is officially a referee!!  He is now eager to take the field as a ref for the first time.  I'm sure the idea of receiving a paycheck helps with that eagerness!  We are very proud of him, and we can't wait to see him do his thing!

Burnin' for Bucks

Burn Hendersonville held the 2nd Annual Burnin' for Bucks event benefiting CHD research, and it was a BIG success!  I love organizing this event with Burn!!  It's so much fun to see the adult teams challenging themselves and working so hard, the kids having fun with Kids Camps, and families coming out to cheer on their mom or dad...all for a GREAT cause!

This year, there were 27 teams in the Partner Challenge and 50 kids that took on the Obstacle Course Kids Camp.  With these entries and a few additional generous donations, Burnin' for Bucks raised a grand total of $2,600 for CHD Research!!!  I am so thankful for this gym and this community of amazing people!!

Parent/ Child Dance at School

An elementary parent / child dance at school means I got a date night with my littlest man.  We had so much fun, and I am thankful for these sweet memories!

11th Annual Blood Drive and Bake Sale

Our 11th Annual Blood Drive and Bake Sale was a HUGE success!  We are so thankful to all who came out to say hi, donate blood, donate baked goods, donate money, or simply pray for this event.  We are blown away every year by the support shown to Colby and our family, and we are so very appreciative!

The blood drive was our biggest one ever with 103 people signing in throughout the day.  From those 103 people, the Red Cross collected 102 units of blood!!  We also had 12 first time donors, which is amazing! 

Our Bake Sale was also very successful.  Between online donations, the Bake Sale, and a VERY generous donation from someone we love dearly, we raised over $13,000 for CHD Research!

We are so blessed to call this guy ours, and we loved celebrating him on his birthday!!  Happy Birthday Jason!  We love you BIG!!  

Merrol Hyde Indoor Fun

The boys' school held an indoor tournament for Grades 2-6 as an Athletic Booster Club Fundraiser.  The kids split themselves into teams, came up with team names, made t-shirts, and had a whole lot of fun!!  Brody was on team "Man Chest Hair United," and Colby was MH United.  I loved watching so many of the kids get involved to support the school.  This is an event the kids will look forward to every year!!

Indoor Soccer Fun
