Colby's surgery went well...so well that we are already home the same day!! Thank you for all of the prayers today! We are thankful that the pacemaker and lead came out easily and plastic surgery didn't run into any issues with his scar revision. Colby is thankful he was able to bring the old pacemaker home. I guess he deserves a little parting gift.
Because of the incoming snow, we decided to come and stay the night near the hospital. Colby didn't want to risk missing this surgery! Thank you Angela for arranging the hotel for us. You made a very stressful time just a little less stressful.
We check in for surgery at 6:30 tomorrow morning, and surgery should start around 8:30. We will post updates when we can. Please pray for the surgeons and their teams and for Colby. We are all eager to get this one behind us.
Brody attended his last Snowball Dance at Merrol Hyde. All of the "lasts" are starting to get harder and harder for me emotionally, but I love seeing him enjoy them all. He and Emily looked great, and they had a fun night together. Big thanks to Brody's friend, Noah, for taking the awesome pics!
