Rosemary Beach Vacation

Jason and I really wanted to get away for a family vacation this summer, but between Brody's baseball schedule, occasional soccer tournaments, and both boys' swim schedule, it was tough to find a time to do it!  Fortunately, we made it work and went back to our favorite vacation spot...Rosemary Beach.  We were able to spend 6 days at the beach together with no work, no practices, and no distractions.  These are the times that I absolutely love and want to remember forever!  We played at the beach, at the pools, and just enjoyed being together!

Day 1...The boys were ready to get in the ocean as soon as we got there, even though the water was a little rough!

Day 2...We spent the morning hanging out at one of the pools and the afternoon back on the beach. Throwing the ball around in the sand with these 2 was a lot of fun, and we did it a lot during this trip!

Day 3...We spent the whole day at the beach and had so much fun!  The boys decided to dig a huge hole in the sand and then fill it up with water.  They were serious about their work!

Right before we left for dinner, Brody lost his second tooth.  He was worried about the tooth fairy finding him at the beach, but of course she didn't disappoint!

Day 4...We decided to try out a different pool today, and it was a great one for the boys to play in.  Brody was able to touch the bottom, and he loved being able to catch Colby when he jumped in and swam to him.  It was so much fun watching them swim and play together!!

Day 5...We spent our last full day on the beach playing in the sand.  The boys built lots of sandcastles, and Colby smashed a lot of sandcastles!!  They also dug another huge hole with the help of daddy.

I love these 3 crazy boys, and I loved having 6 days at the beach with them!  God is good!

3rd of July Fireworks

We had our annual 3rd of July Cookout again this year, and I am so happy that we have been able to continue this tradition for so many years.  We had about 80 people here, which made it super crazy but super fun!  Jason smoked some barbecue and grilled hamburgers and hot dogs and everyone brought sides and desserts to share.  Jeremy and Tammy let us borrow their water slide again this year for all of the kids to enjoy.  My favorite part of the night, though, is when everyone goes to the front yard to watch the fireworks.  Seeing everyone seated together, I am reminded of how blessed we are to have so many amazing friendships!

Tooth Fairy Time

Brody FINALLY lost his first tooth on July 1, and he even pulled it out all by himself!  This tooth has been loose since the end of May, so he was very excited to finally get it out and have the tooth fairy visit for the first time.
