George Strait's Final Show

Jason and I were able to go see George Strait's final show in Dallas on June 7th.  It was a much needed and wonderful weekend away!  The concert was absolutely amazing, and the time we got to spend with our good friends, the Calonges, made it even better.  This is definitely one of those trips that I will not forget!

Vacation Bible School

This year's Vacation Bible School theme was the Promised Land Road Trip.  It centered around moving from Grumble to Humble.  Jason was asked to act in the opening skit each night, and he did an awesome job as Grumble! The boys loved seeing him up on stage each night.

Vacation Bible School is always an amazing event that the boys look forward to every summer.  They are able to spend 4 nights playing games, eating snacks, making crafts, and learning about God, all while surrounded by great Christian friends.

Happy Birthday Gacky and Darbye

We celebrated Gacky's 68th and Darbye's 8th birthday at the FOP pool on Sunday, June 1st.  The kids had so much fun swimming, playing, and eating cupcakes, and I think Gacky had fun watching them.  Happy Birthday Gacky and Darbye!

3v3 Soccer Tournament

Coach Andy put a team of boys together for the 3 v 3 Soccer Tournament on May 31.  The boys played great, had a lot of fun, and took home 3rd place medals.

Colby's HBK Graduation

On Thursday, May 22nd, Colby graduated from Hendersonville Bible Kindergarten.  He has grown leaps and bounds during this school year!  He is reading anything you put in front of him and writing complete sentences.  We are so proud of all that he has accomplished this year, and we can't wait for him to start Kindergarten at Merrol Hyde Magnet School with Brody in the Fall.

We've been told since Colby's diagnosis at my 20 week ultrasound that he would face learning disabilities and developmental delays because of his multiple surgeries.  Then, when he had seizures at birth, they were positive that he would have difficulties.  Jason and I are so happy that they were wrong!  Colby is doing great and continues to defy the odds.  This is just another way of God showing us that He is in control and has special plans for this special little guy!
