Burn Summit 2021

Burn Summit 2021 did not disappoint!  I am so thankful for the opportunity to attend and learn from the best of the best.  I'm also feeling very excited about using all that we learned to continue making Burn Hendersonville the BEST gym and community around!  Let's GO!

It's Our Anniversary

Happy Anniversary to us!  I have no idea how 19 years have passed since we said "I do," but I do know that I would say it again today and every day for the rest of our lives.  Through the good, the bad, and the ugly, I know you're by my side. Thanks for always having my back (literally tonight when the zipper in the back of my dress broke in the restaurant...yikes!). There's never a dull moment with us!  Ha!!

I love you more than you know!!

Frenectomy for Brody

When Brody got his braces on, the orthodontist referred us to a Periodontist for a frenectomy procedure.  He actually needed 2...one under his tongue and one under his upper lip.  He was scared to death, but he made it through and did very well!  This wasn't something we expected or that he wanted, but we are thankful to have it behind us.

Nashville Soccer Club Game

We had so much fun at the game Saturday night!  Good friends, good food at Edley's, good game, and a GREAT Win!  We love NSC!!

River Tubing Fun

Our first time River Tubing, and we kind of loved it!  It was an awesome day of relaxing with some of our favorite people!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to one of the best dads around!  We are so thankful for you Jason, and we love you BIG!!

Fishing Fun

Brody has officially gotten hooked on fishing, and we love everything about it!

The End of Middle School for Brody

I don't even know how this happened, but Brody has officially finished Middle School.  It's crazy to look back and see just how much he has grown since that first day of 6th grade.  The growth hasn't just been getting taller, though.  He has grown and changed so much as a person.  There were days during that 6th grade year that I didn't think we'd survive.  But, we did and we grow more proud of the teenager he is becoming every single day.

I'm a little sad that he missed most of his middle school years due to Covid, but we are excited to watch him kick off his high school journey in the Fall.  We have 4 short years left with this one at home, and I want to cherish every single day!

Last Day of School

What.  A.  Year.  I am so happy to see this crazy school year come to an end!  Between multiple forced quarantines due to possible exposure (I think Brody had 4 or 5), hybrid school, all virtual school, all in person school, wearing masks, and just the weirdness that has surrounded Covid, I'm feeling kind of proud of us all for just surviving.

As I reflect back on this school year, though, I'm feeling very thankful for the life lessons that were learned.  I think both of our boys have matured and grown in ways that they might not have in a "normal" school year.  It's hard to watch your kids struggle as parents, but no growth can occur without some struggle.  "We grow through what we go through."  These struggles they faced this school year have only made them stronger, and for that we are so thankful!

With that being said, though, we are praying for a little less struggle next year!  The Hitchcock boys are on to 9th grade and 7th grade!  But first, we are going to enjoy every single second of our summer!!  Bring on the sunshine, the lake days, and lots of fun!

Final Spring Tournament in Indiana

The final tournament of the spring season ended with 2 champions!!  The windy, cold, and rainy weather was not ideal, but it was still a fun weekend of soccer in Indiana!  I love watching my #9's do what they love.  Makes a momma proud!
