Colby's First TN United Game

Colby decided to sign up for soccer again this season.  Fortunately, he is old enough now to sign up for the U7 Academy program through Tennessee United Soccer Club.  He will learn so much this season and have a lot of fun in the process!

His first game was Saturday, August 22nd, and he played great.  He even scored a goal!  We don't know how long his body will allow him to play endurance sports, like soccer, but we are letting him enjoy every second of it for now.  He loves this sport, and we absolutely love seeing him so excited and happy about participating.

Fall Kick-Off Tournament

With the U9 soccer team, Brody will have the opportunity to play in 3 tournaments during the Fall Season.  The first one was a Fall Kick-Off tournament in Clarksville on August 22-23.  Brody had a lot of fun and played really well!  His team won 1st place medals, which was a great way to end his birthday weekend.

Brody's 9th Birthday

Brody is 9 years old!!  I have no idea how 9 years have passed since this sweet boy made us parents.  I can remember bringing him home from the hospital like it was yesterday.  He has brought us so much joy and love, and we could not be any more proud of him!

We had a quick celebration at home with presents and breakfast before heading to Clarksville for a soccer tournament.  We are thankful he was able to spend his birthday doing what he loves most...soccer!  Happy 9th Birthday Brody! We love you!!

Boys Birthday Celebration with Family

We had our family over to celebrate the boys' birthdays on Saturday, August 15th.  We have been blessed with an amazing and supportive family, and I am so happy that they were all able to be here. These boys received some great gifts, but the best gift of all was spending time with family.

Faces of Heart Fest

The American Heart Association held their 4th annual Faces of Heart Fest at the Nashville Zoo on August 12th.  This is an event that Colby looks forward to every year, and we were so happy that this year, Brody could go too.  Both boys got their face painted, played with Champ, hula hooped, jumped rope, and played with many of our heart friends.  We are so grateful for the AHA and all that they do for those affected by heart disease and stroke.  We can't wait for the Nashville Heart Walk coming up on October 3rd.

First Day of School

The summer has come to an end far too quickly!!  I am going to miss these boys while they are at school, but I know they will be loving every minute of this school year.  Watch out 3rd and 1st grade...here come the Hitchcock boys!

My Birthday Surprise

With Colby's birthday the day before mine and Brody's birthday a couple weeks later, I tend to skip right over my own birthday most years.  Jason surprised me this year, though, and invited some great friends over to celebrate my 35th birthday with me!  I was completely surprised and very happy to spend some time with these amazing people.

Colby's 7th Birthday

Colby is 7 years old, and we celebrated him all day long on his birthday...starting with streamers, super hero decorations, presents, and cinnamon rolls!  I cannot believe this little guy is 7!  He is such an  inspiration to us all.  He has a crazy big love for life and people, and we are so thankful that God blessed us with him.  Happy Birthday Colby!!
