Burn Team Dinner

I am so thankful to be a part of this amazing team at Burn, and I am thankful we were able to celebrate Christmas together!  

Brody's Christmas Guitar Performance

Brody performed for the second time at Music and Arts during their Christmas performances.  We loved hearing him play, and it is so much fun seeing how much he has learned over the last 2 years.  His love for music makes us so happy!

Preds Strike Out Cancer

Colby was invited (as a hospital ambassador) to participate in the "Preds Strike Out Cancer" Event on Tuesday, December 4th, and Brody was also able to participate as his big brother.  This event was so much fun!!  The boys had a blast bowling, we met lots of cool people, got a couple of autographs, and hopefully helped in a very small way to make this event successful for Pediatric Cancer Research at Monroe Carrel Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.  

Date Night

The kids went to a play with Nana, Nenny, and Emilee and Kylee one night, so Jason and I snuck away for date night at Virago with Jeremy and Tammy.  It was much needed time together!  Our date nights may be few and far between, but we definitely appreciate every single one we do get! 

Thanksgiving

We had such a happy Thanksgiving this year!!  The food and company did not disappoint at Aunt Pat and Uncle Lee's house!  I am always so very thankful when we have the opportunity to just sit and talk with our awesome family.  I wish we had more opportunities to get together and visit!

Memphis Soccer Tournament

It was an extremely cold weekend of soccer in Memphis!!  Neither of the boys' teams came out on top, but both teams played incredibly well!!  It is so much fun to see the progression from the beginning of the season to the end.  Colby's team has come leaps and bounds, and Brody's team definitely looked the best I've seen them.  Both of our number 9's gave it 110% in every game, which makes us very proud!  One of the life lessons that I hope they learn while playing sports is that giving it your all every single time you step on that field is the only way to play!!  My dad (aka Gacky) has always taught me..."If something is worth doing, then it is worth doing right!"  Never attack anything halfway!

Thanksgiving Lunch at School

Another school Thanksgiving Lunch is in the books!  I'm thankful Jason was in town and able to join us this year!!  I'm also thankful that our Middle Schooler obliged us with a picture, even if he really didn't want to!  

Colby's 4-H Poster

All of the 4th graders are required to create a poster for 4-H, and Colby's poster won first place in his classroom!  I have to admit that when Colby told me his idea for a slogan, I was a little nervous.  "Get Lit" can mean a few different things. Ha!!  Lucky for him, the 4-H representative loved it!  So..."Get Lit with 4-H!"
