This has been a great year for Colby. He has grown and learned a lot thanks to his teacher, Mrs. Lee Ann. Her patience and love for him has really helped get him ready for Kindergarten next year. I pray that he continues to grow and learn and that his love for learning new things never ends! Watch out Kindergarten...here comes Colby!!

Kindergarten Awards Day
On Tuesday, May 21, Nannie Berry held Awards Day. Brody received 3 certificates...Kindergarten Diploma, Marathon Completion, and Top Reader. We are so proud!
This has been a very good year for Brody! Jason and I really struggled with the decision to have him repeat Kindergarten, but I know now that we made the right choice. Brody has developed a confidence in himself this year that he didn't have before, and I think that confidence will serve him well in the grades that follow. We are very thankful to Mrs. Cook for helping him find this confidence. She has challenged him, encouraged him, and really gone above and beyond what we could have ever imagined. She is an amazing teacher!
Nannie Berry Field Day
Brody's first field day was Monday, May 20. Nannie Berry does field day a little differently than I remember our field day being. Instead of teams and competition, they have partners and a lot of carnival type games to play. The kids had 2 hours to play whatever games they wanted to play with their partner, followed by a picnic lunch. I think our competitive little Brody was a little disappointed there were no races or ribbons to win, but he still had a lot of fun!
Kohl's Cup Champions
Brody played in his first 3 v 3 soccer tournament on Saturday, May 18 in Portland. His team played 3 games that day starting at 9 am and ending at 2:30. The boys played great, and they won all 3 games!! They are officially the U6 Kohl's Cup Champions! This was our first experience with tournaments, and we all had a great time! It was a long but fun day, and the boys even got to see lots of friends from school and church. We are looking forward to more soccer tournaments in the future.
