Virtuosity Challenge 2021

Still trying to process all that went down at my first ever fitness competition, Virtuosity Challenge 2021.  To see so many of our Burn members compete and give 100%, so many Burn members come out to cheer us on, and to be surrounded by so many incredibly fit and inspiring people from other gyms was beyond anything I could ever imagine.

Going into this competition, I had no idea what to expect and was very nervous.  To be honest, I was pretty worried about letting people down...my partner, my family, my gym family, myself.  I knew I wanted to show up, give it everything I had in all 4 events, and pray for the best.  At the end of the day, I wanted to leave knowing I had done everything I could.

I'm so thankful for the support and cheers coming from my gym family, the texts of encouragement and love from Jason and the boys, and definitely thankful for the push and encouragement from my partner, Jeremiah.  That love and support is what kept me going at times I wanted to stop moving, and believe me, that slosh pipe event definitely made me want to stop moving!

This is what I love about fitness...it shows us what we are truly made of.  Shows us that we can do things we never thought were possible.  Shows us that we are stronger (mentally and physically) than we ever imagined.

I am so thankful I decided to do this competition. It feels good to win 1st place, but it feels even better to look back and say, "I did that!"  "I CAN do hard things!"
