Soccer Senior Night

Even a Lisfranc Injury couldn't keep Brody from enjoying his Senior Night, and it definitely didn't keep us from celebrating him!  He was able to take the field one final time to kick off the start of the game.  Seeing him out there was so emotional, but I just couldn't stop thinking about how proud I am of him.  I'm proud of his long and successful soccer career, I'm proud of the work ethic he's developed, I'm proud of the sportsmanship he has demonstrated, I'm proud of the maturity he's gained, I'm proud of the friendships he's made through soccer, I'm proud of the grit he's shown, I'm proud of how he has handled adversity, and I'm especially proud of how he has handled this major injury.  Being sidelined in your senior season is not fun, but he has found a way to stay positive.  He is way more mature than I was at his age, and he knows that God's plans are better than our plans.

Please continue to pray that his foot heals and he can avoid surgery.  We would love to see him back on that soccer field next year for the Alumni game!
