The Bluegrass Marlins Swim Team Banquet was on Monday, July 13th. In addition to their Marlin trophies for being at every swim meet, Brody and Colby also received special awards this summer. Colby received the Most Enthusiastic award for always cheering on his teammates and showing good team spirit. Brody received the High Point Award for earning more points this season than any other boy on the team. At the beginning of the summer, Brody set a goal to receive this award, and we are so proud of him for working hard and achieving his goal!
We are sad to be losing 3 of our coaches next season. Sara, Will, and John have been working with our boys since we started swimming at Bluegrass in 2011. Over the last 5 summers, they have helped and encouraged both our boys so much. I have no doubt that Brody and Colby will always remember these coaches and the love of swimming that they have helped develop.
